Have I ever posted Human Faever here? I don't think so. That's weird. He was a human character way before he was a wolf one. Huh.
ANYWAY. Faever. That cool guy. My original character. Yeah. Probably colored this quicker than I should have. OHYEAH and it has a background! How neat is that? Companion Piece: [link] [(c) Me] Comments
Hey! My fiancee and I are really digging this. :3 The hair is really nicely colored--as is everything else, and the profile is really nicely drawn.
postscript: I really love the position of his head. It looks really... umm... natural, which I find to be difficult to portray as such... a lot of the time. X3;; postpostscript: Since you're asking for critique, I was wondering if you wanted a redline. His right arm looks really... uncomfortable. Both my fiancee and I have tried to replicate his pose but have found it to be most painful. X3;; Also, his torso seems to be a bit long around the area right before his pelvis, while his right leg seems to be a tad shorter than it should be. In addition, both his legs should really be a bit... more aligned with the rest of his body? (My fiancee says they should be on the same plane as the rest of him. It also looks awkward with nothing to ground him. He looks like he's floating in... space. I don't know if that was your intention or not. (My fiancee suggests something such as placing shadows under him to ground him, so as to suggest he is not floating.) UM. Aside from all that, we really like this; it's really, really nice. :3 <3 -- Believe in the light, and let the dark clouds float on by. Hehe. I'm glad you like it.
I can see the problems on the legs but didn't bother to fix them. Too long, different sizes, and the weight shifted opposite to what the lines on the stomach would suggest. Didn't catch them until after I started coloring and was too lazy to re-scan and start over with colors. A redline on the arm would be GREAT, though. I just couldn't figure it out quite right and gave up. The floating is intentional, though. It's supposed to be a daydream, sort of. He's not actually in the clouds/sky. Just imagining it. If that makes any sense. |
